Dirty Projectors is the vision of Dave Longstreth. He is on tour supporting his recent albums "Slaves Graves and Ballads", which is like a double EP, and "The Getty Address". "The Ballads" are beautiful, quiet songs about shutting up -- real burrowing-in, closing-eyes, feathers-ruffled type stuff. "Slaves' Graves" is a song-journey for him singing with a ten-piece chamber group called The Orchestral Society for the Preservation of the Orchestra, It is about the shrubs at the edge of the parking lot.

The Wind-Up Bird's music often explores polyrhythm by juxtaposing many simultaneous tempos and periodicities. Oceanic, subliminal drones vibrate below clouds of warm digital pinpricks. Featuring gradual but drastic transformations of input from live sound sources, emphasizing real-time creation, metamorphosis, and improvisation.

Washington DC based Stamen & Pistils create noisy yet pretty pop songs about the follies of youth. Striking a balance between folksy acoustic stylings and a left of center electronic sound palate. Their debut EP "End of the Sweet Parade" will be available.
