"Representatives from the Direct Action & Research Training (DART) Center will be on the University of Michigan campus on Monday, March 22 at 5 pm in Mason Hall, Room 1437 to inform those graduating of our careers working for social, economic, and racial justice.
He will discuss how community organizers:
? Develop and training leaders to take successful Direct Action on issues
? Identify and train local leaders
? Research and target decision makers
? Strengthen communities through one-on-One relationship building
The Direct Action & Research Training Center and the Michigan Organizing Project have built coalitions throughout the state that have won important victories on a broad set of justice issues including:
? Education reform in low-performing public schools
? Fair immigration policies
? Police misconduct
? Living Wage campaigns & job training
? Affordable housing, etc.
The Information Session will take place on the University of Michigan campus on Monday, March 22 at 5 pm in Mason Hall, Room 1437. Interested candidates will be encouraged to schedule interviews for the following day.
