Digital Photography for Kids and Parents June 11, 2011

This class provides a fun, creative project for parents and teens to collaborate on, and is also a great introduction to the art of photography. This course takes place over three consecutive Saturdays and gets each parent-child team working together to discover a wealth of photographic possibilities.

Participants may come with DSLR or digital point-and-shoot cameras. The instructor will cover the foundational principles that apply to every camera while also covering visual and aesthetic concepts to focus on while shooting. Parents and kids work together on two shooting assignments that reinforce these ideas and concepts. The projects will explore each pair's relationship to create a visual record of their unique perspectives.
