Filmmaking is undergoing a revolutionary transformation, thanks to the San Francisco Bay Area's chief creative industry: computer technology. One hundred years ago, film was magical for its ability to capture and reorder reality and celluloid, cameras and simple editing machinery were the key storytelling tools. Now filmmakers can simulate every conceivable image or idea, to the point where sets and even actors are replaceable. This panel brings together the leaders of the burgeoning digital film industry to discuss, envision and worry about what the second century of film will bring.
