Eugene Trak from Diamond Way Buddhist Center will speak on the "Power of the Vajrayana Meditations."

Diamond Way, a Tibetan center located in Minneapolis, is part of a worldwide network of over 500 lay Buddhist
centers of the Karma Kagyu Lineage founded by Lama Ole Nydahl upon the request of the H.H. the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa. The activity of all Diamond Way centers is based entirely on idealism and the volunteer work of dedicated individuals who offer their experience and time in order to make the timeless teachings of the Buddha more accessible to a growing number of lay practitioners around the world. Field trips to the Diamond Way Center have been popular with the Northfield center's Youth Group.

The talk will be preceded by an optional introduction to the center for newcomers at 8:30, and by a half-hour sitting meditation period beginning at 9:00. Tea will be served afterward. The public is invited.

Like all events offered at the Center, this talk is given on a dana basis, “dana” being the Pali word for generosity. Buddhist teachings have been passed down over the centuries in the spirit of generosity, and the Northfield Buddhist Meditation Center tries to continue this
practice. We depend on donations for operation of the Center, and we hope participants will experience this generosity and respond in kind with financial support for the Center as well as for our teachers.
