?Being a North American Buddhist Woman: Reflections of a Buddhist Pioneer?
Dharma Talk by Rita Gross

In this talk, the author of _Buddhism after Patriarchy_, one of the most influential books on Buddhism and gender, will not only reflect on some of her experiences in thirty years of practicing both Buddhism and feminism
but also consider the relevance of feminism today. Rita M. Gross is a scholar-practitioner who has written or edited ten books and over two
hundred articles and essays. She also teaches Buddhadharma as a senior teacher for Venerable Khandro Rinpoche, one of the few Tibetan Buddhist
women teaching in North America. The talk is preceded by a 30-minute sit
at 9 a.m., followed by 10 minutes walking meditation.

The Northfield Buddhist Meditation Center is located at 313 1/2 Division
Street, upstairs from Jenkins Jewelers. This talk is free of charge;
donations, however, are greatly appreciated. For more information, consult
