DFT MEETUP RETURNS TO MOTHER EGAN'S THURSDAY, JANUARY 5

Please join us at Mother Egan's on Thursday, January 5, for a forum featuring the candidates for Texas House District 47 (Valinda Bolton) and District 48 (Andy Brown, Donna Howard, and Kathy Rider). Our moderator will be State Representative Mark Strama. Bring your questions to ask the candidates!

(In case you're wondering, Mother Egan's has heaters and a patio enclosed in plastic. It promises to be toasty even if our weather returns to normal.)

When: Thursday, January 5, 7:00 p.m.

Where: Mother Egan's, 715 West 6th Street

Bring: In addition to questions for the candidates, we will collect cold-weather gear for all age members of homeless families in Austin. Please bring your gently used (or new) coats, sweaters, gloves, scarves, hats, and socks, and we will deliver them to Project HELP for distribution. This is a great opportunity to "regift" that sweater your Aunt Harriet gave you for Christmas!

We'll return to meeting the first Wednesday of the month in February. We hope everyone enjoys the Rose Bowl.
