February 12 - March 15, 2011; Opening reception Wednesday Feb. 16, 6:30pm - 9pm

Opening concurrently in mid-February, the MCCLA and the Fine Arts Gallery at San Francisco State University (SFSU) showcase a selection of powerful contemporary art from Mexico. Interrelated through a mix of politics and aesthetics, the parallel exhibitions explore issues of labor, migration and contemporary issues - amplified by a historical lens. MCCLA will present five video installations by artists including Carlos Amorales, ToroLab, Miguel Calderon, Sergio de la Torre, and Tania Candiani.

The exhibit is curated by Julio Cesar Morales and Maurizzio Hector Pineda.
