Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo
Part of their first European tour in 15 years Devo descend on Southbank Centre to perform their original brand of artrock. Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio in 1972 Devo were pioneers in the nu wave scene, catching the attention of Brian Eno, David Bowie and Iggy Pop. Eno went on to produce their debut album in 1978 and their visibility increased considerably with 1980s Freedom of Choice album which featured their biggest hit, Whip It. The band went on to produce numerous albums throughout the early 80s but disbanded in 1991, their legacy has lived on and this show will be highly anticipated.
