Development of Seoul's Pedestrian Master Plan
Presentation by Shinhae Lee.

The population of Seoul, Korea has reached 10 million. The city's economic growth has led to increased car ownership. Result: serious traffic congestion, more traffic accidents, widespread air pollution. Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) built additional roads to accommodate cars, but that didn't improve the situation. So SMG changed direction, away from cars and toward public transit and pedestrians. Join us as Shinhae Lee, an IURD Visiting Scholar from Seoul, discusses her work as a project manager for the development of Seoul's Pedestrian Master Plan.
