Campus Martius Park and throughout Detroit

Celebrating the season Motown style, Detroit offers Winter Blast! In addition to winter-related activities like skating, snowboarding and a new 200 ft. snow slide, Arctic Blast, the Winter Blast also offers two blocks of specially-lit ice sculptures, marshmallow roasting stations and two stages filled with entertainment from local artists. Additionally, over 60 downtown restaurants will accept Dine in the D coupons during the event.

There's only one weekend when you can enjoy free ice skating at Campus Martius Park, and that's during Winter Blast. Ice-skating will be provided free to the public all weekend long courtesy of http://Michigan.org, plus there will be performances by professional and talented amateur skaters through out the weekend sponsored by Charter One Bank.

Arctic Blast - A New Ice Slide Attraction
Featured By the Rink at Campus Martius Park
The Rink at Campus Martius Park has launched its new ice slide! The ice slide will be open through out Winter Blast Weekend. Tickets are $3 for a single ride.

The Two blocks of specially lit themed ice sculptures will be located just east of Campus Martius Park. Don't miss the Chrysler Jeep Superstores Ice Garden, presented by ITC!

Also returning this year is Marshmallow Roasting in the streets! This will be located just north of the Campus Martius rink outside the Compuware building. Children of all ages are invited to warm up and make s'mores, courtesy of Quicken Loans!

DTE Comfort Zones
Warm up in the DTE Comfort Zones! You’ll find heat every 150 feet this year at Winter Blast. Here’s a list of this years DTE Comfort Zones:

1) DTE Comfort Zone - Listen to great Detroit Music on the Michigan Lottery Stage.
2) DTE Comfort Zone/Meijer Kids Tent - Meijer Arts and Craft by day and the Detroit Electronic Music Festival Presents Techno artists at night.
3) Compuware Building - Children’s performers on the Meijer Kids Stage during the day and Acoustic performers on the Flagstar Stage at night.
4) Cadillac Tower - Warm up after visiting the ice sculptures!
5) First National Building - Features Wine-Tasting at Enoteca.
