So you want to be a skater, but you're not sure you've got the skills? Come on out. Many of us hadn't skated in years when we joined the league. Our coaching staff will provide training to get you the skills you need to play on one of our teams. Contact [email protected] to reserve your spot today!

It takes a large commitment to be a Detroit Derby Girl. We are a "by the skater, for the skater" organization. This means we do everything ourselves - from fundraising and advertising, to the production of events.

The average skater probably devotes a minimum of 12-15 hours a week to the league, including practices (currently Monday and Wednesday nights in Livonia), meetings, and events.

You will be responsible for buying your own equipment, purchasing a $35 yearly membership from USA Rollersports (our insurance provider), and paying monthly dues (currently $30).
