Have an early dinner, but leave the desserts to us! We've been traveling quite a bit these days, and not necessarily always in search of birds. Our natural history travel programs focus on landscapes, habitats, birds, butterflies, mammals, local culture and - perhaps most importantly - on good eating. So join us virtually on our journeys, and share the bounty of our destinations! - - In January, Sue MacCallum, our sanctuary director and international trip leader, will take us on a virtual tour of Trinidad and Tobago. After she's done with anhingas, pinnated bitterns and white-necked jacobins, we'll split up a local delicacy. - - In February, Ellen and Matt Adams will virtually take us through their recent excursion to Big Bend, Texas, and then share the specialty dessert they came back with. - - In March, international trekking guide Robert Barendregt will transport us through the three royal cities of the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal, and thence up the 20,000-foot Himalayan peaks in search of the people and wildlife that call them home. - - And, in April, John Galluzzo will bring us through his recent trip birding in Aruba, among the bananaquits, troupials and gallinules. Of course, dessert will follow! Registration is required. Call 781-837-9400 for details. See http://www.massaudubon.org/catalog/listing.php?program_code=1044-SS11SP1 for more information.
