Desert Secrets: Photography From UMFA's Permanent Collection December 8, 2009

This exhibition of contemporary photographs explores the barren and surreal terrain of the Southwestern desert. Traditional photographic techniques as well as newer imaging technologies are showcased as the artists confront themes of clandestine military operations, nuclear testing, conspiracy theories and more.
