Desert or Dessert? July 19, 2008

Native Texan and acrylic artist Catherine Dawson records her life experiences with paint and a brush. Catherine captures the often un-noticed displays of shapes, light and the unexpected colors found in nature. A visit to the vast red-rock wilderness opened her eyes to the immense character of the bitter-sweet desert. The result is a collection of works portraying her experience in this seemingly daunting landscape.
