Australian aboriginal art has grown into one of the most exciting art movements in the world. This is an astonishing claim for one of the oldest continuously surviving art forms. Dreaming stories Jukurrpa is a millennium old verbal tradition that has also been a visual art form. It is about the memories and oral histories of the aboriginal people, their relationship with their land, and their magic interface with it. The paintings are sourced from the Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation and the artists come from Yuendumu in the deserts of central Australia. Each seemingly abstract painting has a story to tell of water sources, women dancing and ancestral lands. The aboriginal and his land are one. They believe that they keep the land alive by wandering in it.
