Desert Botanical Garden FlickrMeet First Day of Spring March 20, 2010

Come, Flickrites, and celebrate the rites of Spring with a photo stroll through the Desert Botanical Garden. Not only will it be the First Day of Spring; two special programs will be running on this date: the Spring Butterfly Exhibit in the Marshall Butterfly Pavilion and the Spring 2010 Plant Sale. The Allan Houser "Tradition to Abstraction" sculptures will still be displayed throughout the garden. And the wildflowers are sure to be in profusion.
The DBG opens at 8 AM, and early risers are encouraged to be there when the gates open. Stragglers may reach one of us by mobile phone when you arrive. We will probably have had enough by 11, at which point some of us may like to go out for lunch.

Sorry not to attend an event I organized, but we had our doggie's ACL repaired yesterday and we're picking him up from the animal hospital this morning. Have a great time, though! I look forward to seeing your photos.
