Depicting The Landscape and Built Environment through Art December 13, 2012

Students will be encouraged to explore the natural and built environment through sketches, painting, creating rubbings from objects and manipulating and reconfiguring of found materials in order to create unique works of art. Students will develop an understanding of highlighting textural qualities, light, shadow and colour. Students will look at the styles and techniques of the French impressionists & Post Impressionists as well as contemporary Australian artists such as Jeffery Smart and Brett Whitely.
