The DePaul Symphony Orchestra will present a night of free music for the public at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21 at Orchestra Hall, 220 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago.

The performance, to be led by conductor Cliff Colnot, will begin with Debussy’s The Martyrdom of Saint Sebastian. The second piece of the evening will be Hummel’s Trumpet Concerto featuring DePaul faculty member John Hagstrom. John Hagstrom has been a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's trumpet section since 1996 and is a trumpet instructor at DePaul School of Music. Following intermission, the orchestra will perform Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring.
