DEPART-ment...all handmade goods October 13, 2006

Hello, DEPART-ment, the quarterly alternative "store" of handmade
goods is here again!

This event is unique because unlike ordinary craft fairs where vendors
sell their wares at separate tables,
DEPART-ment organizes all goods according to sections. There is a
clothing department, jewelry section, home goods area, etc; all run
collectively in a collaborative effort by the crafters and artists.
You can find anything from mustache pillows to knitted ipod cozies,
clothing by independent designers, and of course handmade jewelry. All
things are handcrafted with no brand names, no foreign assembly, and
no questionable ethics.

DEPART-ment will occur on October 13th, 14th, and 15th
at Open-End Gallery (2000 W. Fulton Market); with a opening party on
Friday, October 13th from 7-11pm. The event is free and open to the
public. Handmade clothing, jewelry, and other one-of-a-kind goods
created by local designers and artisans available.
