Denton Tobenski: Senior Voice Recital November 3, 2007

Tenor Denton Tobenski and pianist Katherine Wiegandt will perform the Midwest premieres of song cycles by New York composers Jeff Algera (Songs of Sex, Love & Desire), Chester Biscardi ("Someone New" from Modern Love Songs), Darien Shulman (Three Poems of Thomas Hardy), and Dennis Tobenski (Sweet Briar Songs). Denton will also give the world premiere performance of Dennis Tobenski's "till night is overgone", a 25-minute song cycle on the poetry of James Joyce commissioned by Denton for the occasion. Admission to the concert is free.
