Denholme Arts gallery launch August 22, 2009

Saturday 22nd Aug 2009 1pm til 5pm

To celebrate the launch of the Denholme arts initiative and coinciding with the opening of Mpika relief funds opening of their furniture department we are organising an arts day in the village.

The mechanics institute will be turned into a gallery for the day with fantastic visual work from local artists, live music, poetry and much more.

If you would like to get involved, display any of your work or play some music then please get in touch a.s.a.p with details of your genre and style so that we can reserve wall space and/or a time slot.

If you wish you may also sell your art on the day with a 20% commision going to the Mpika relief fund www.mpika.org

There will also be a childrens gallery so any age can join in and get their art on show.

Following on from the event we will hosting an online gallery where people can view and buy the work of local artists, approaching cafes' and shop premises to display and sell work and working towards a more permanent gallery space so please get involved and help make this project fly.
