The 4th Annual Delicious Ambiguity concert for Gilda’s Club will be held at The Last Class, Georgian College’s Barrie Campus on May 3 in The Last Class. The fundraising event features a silent auction/draw and music by such local bands as One Time Ticket, Jesus Drives a Malibu, Johnny Rev and the Pushrods, and Blues Biscuit.
About the bands:
One Time Ticket (http://www.myspace.com/onetimeticket), formed in November 2006 when each band member was just 15 years of age, has toured across Ontario and recently released its first demo CD, Sarah.
Formed in September 2004, Jesus Drives a Malibu (JDM) (http://jesusdrivesamalibu.com/ ) rose out of the basement to perform at several area charity gigs including the 2005 and 2008 Gord Bastian Variety Show. JDM founded the Delicious Ambiguity fundraiser for Gilda’s Club, Barrie, and has organized the event for the past few years.
Johnny Rev and the Pushrods play early rock and roll classics with high energy and authenticity. Dishing out tunes made famous by such artists as Johnny Cash, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Elvis Presley and more, these avid musicians and motorcycle riders have performed at various events, car shows and vintage motorcycle swap meets over the past few years.
Blues Biscuit have lent their talents to several charity events including Delicious Ambiguity 2 and 3 and Camp Bucko, a camp for burn victims. The Biscuit has also performed at the Foundation Night Club and Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern as well as the Alliston Night Festival and Kempenfest.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 each and are available at Campus Connections, Georgian College, Barrie, Gilda’s Club Barrie or at the door.
NOTE: After 9 p.m., the event is restricted to those 19 years of age and older.
