Fresh off tours supporting Radiohead and The Flaming Lips, San Franciscos Deerhoof will bring their art rock to the Kate Buchanan Room. MSNBC described them as tangled pop from a genre-defying band. Also performing are fellow art rockers xbxrx has blinded their audiences with racks of colorful flashing lights, bombarded them with balloons and even abandoned the stage to incite dance riots and group hugs in an attempt to make the xbxrx experience something much more than just another show. The first band to perform is none other than The Husbands are an all-girl trio that creates music for connoisseurs of combustible rock n roll, rhythm n blues, and garage n punk, they create a paint peeling sound full of heartache, and violence.
