The ceramic, glass and silver objects at Hill-Stead reflect the Popes' extensive travel and their penchant for collecting from many cultures. The shapes, colors and placement of objects constitute a conscious aesthetic, complementing the paintings, wallpaper, carpets, and interior architectural elements of the Pope Riddle house.
