Feral House and Process invite you to an early Winter Solstice Celebration and book signing at La Luz de Jesus on Thursday, December 11th. Join us as we gather to honor the darkest day of the year and the rebirth of the sun with ritual book signings and celebration of our latest, greatest titles. Meet our authors, tip back some mead, and get special holiday discounts on signed copies of our books!

This event is the release and book signing party for “Dope Menace: The Sensational World of Drug Paperbacks” by Stephen J. Gertz, “Dope Menace” collects together hundreds of fabulously lurid and collectible covers in color, from xenophobic turn-of-the century tomes about the opium trade to the beatnik glories of reefer smoking and William S. Burroughs' Junkie to the spaced-out psychedelic '60s and of course the gonzo paranoia brought on by Hunter S. Thompson in the '70s, when anything was everything. Author Stephen J. Gertz is a well-regarded authority on antiquarian books and contributor to Feral House's Sin-A-Rama, an award-winning visual history of sleaze paperbacks from the sixties. Annie Nocenti, longtime editor of High Times magazine, offers an informative foreword. Gertz will be in attendance to sign his new book.

We will also be celebrating these following titles with many of the authors present to sign books and answer all your questions:

"The Intimate Sex Lives of Famous People" by David Wallechinsky and Amy Wallace
“Secret and Suppressed II: Banned Ideas and Hidden History into the 21st Century”
by Adam Parfrey
“Dark Mission: The Secret History of Nasa” by Mike Bara
“The Urban Homestead” by Erik Knutzen and Kelly Coyne
“Frezno” byTony Stamolis
“Master of the Mysteries: The Life of Manly Palmer Hall” by Louis Sahagun
“The Secret Source” by Maja D'Aoust

Special Solstice sale:
