Among the youngest bands ever to storm the metal genre, Death Angel has come to be known as one of the most influential bands to emerge from the thriving Bay Area Thrash Metal Scene in the early 1980s. God Forbid has its roots in the humble setting of a New Jersey basement. The music of Arsis is the product of strong classic metal and rock influences such as Racer X, Iron Maiden, Dio, Black Sabbath, and Alice Cooper, combined with the aggressive, in-your-face influences of bands such as Morbid Angel and Death. Soilent Green is a melding of metal, hardcore and sludge.
