‘Dead Drops’ is an anonymous, offline, peer to peer file-sharing network in public space.

‘Dead Drops’ is an anonymous, offline, peer to peer file-sharing network in public space developed by artist Aram Bartholl. USB flash drives are embedded into walls, buildings and curbs accessable to anybody in public space. Everyone is invited to drop or find files on a dead drop. Plug your laptop to a wall, house or pole to share your favorite files and data.

AND Festival are putting together a region wide programme of ‘Drop Days’ to help seed and further spread the un-clouding of data in the North West of England. Look out for Dead Drops near you and if you cant find one, make one!
