In just a few days, DC Shorts 2006 will begin with an opening night screeing and party.

SCREENING
Thursday, Sept. 14 at 7:00pm

Watch 10 films from around the corner and across the globe. More than 150 filmmakers are planning on attending the festival weekend -- so this is a great opportunity to meet the creative people behind the movie magic. Tickets are $12 and are available at the TICKETS page on http://dcshorts.com

OPENING PARTY

The opening night party is a great chance to meet other filmmakers and your audience. Complimentary Stella Artois and delicious nibbles will be passed around for your convenience. DC Shorts' official band, "Omega Band" will play throughout the evening. You must have a valid ticket stub from the opening night screening, or an unused ticket to another festival screening to be admitted.

TICKETING
Tickets are selling quickly -- and some shows are close to selling out -- so do not hestitate to purchase your tix online NOW. Click on http://dcshorts.com and follow the link to tickets. All seats are $12 per screening.

LAST CHANCE FOR ALL-ACCESS PASSES
The All-Access Passes are only available for another day. After noon on Tuesday, they will be removed -- so if you plan on attending a few films, this is the best way to see them. But hurry! They may be purchased at http://dcshorts.com

ABOUT THE SCREENINGS
Each screening will showcase 8-12 films -- titles, descriptions and photos of every film are available on the web site under the "schedule" area. Your ticket allows entry to one screening only. Want to see many shows? Consider an All-Access Pass available at http://dcshorts.com

BEST OF DC SHORTS
Can't make a specific screening? Was the show you wanted to see sold out? You have a second chance to see the best of the festival at Best of DC Shorts screenings which will be presented Sunday through Wednesday at the E Street Cinema. Of course, we will not know which films will play until after the awards ceremony, but the list of films will be posted online at http://dcshorts.com Sunday morning.
