How do you see a forest of swaying kelp? Dive in and visualize the world of giant kelp with an artist's point of view. The centerpiece of this new visiting exhibit is a towering mural, an enlargement of a natural history poster designed to educate and inspire wonder about this awe-inspiring environment found in our California coastal waters. Amidst the gracefully drawn fronds and surrounding the mural are a series of sketches and artist's studies. Here, you can observe the artist's interpretive process and discover with your own eyes, learning to apply your own creative intuition.
