DaVinci Labs is a place where intelligent people come together to discuss the products, trends, and people that will shape our future.

Seventy percent of Americans now shop online, comparing prices and making purchases that are delivered directly to their door. Yet we still shop in person. We still enjoy going to a physical store to experience products first-hand.

Join us as we explore the idea of WHY we continue to shop in person and what the future holds for retail in general. We have two wonderful speakers who consider the shopping experience in their everyday lives, and are thought-leaders in the retail space.

Kim Campbell is the property manager for the Flatirons Mall in Broomfield. She works at Macerich properties, which also owns the 29th Street Mall in Boulder and over 100 other mall properties across the United States.

Mrs. Campbell will be sharing her thoughts on the future of the “mall experience” in the United States, why people still enjoy shopping in person, and what the future holds for the properties most of us visit on a regular basis.

Mr. Robert Reich will be discussing his new store, ‘Open Space,’ where he sells no physical product whatsoever, only software.

Mr. Reich is melding both the online experience and the experience of a physical storefront to sell Apps to users who are overwhelmed by the offerings of the Android and iPhone ecosystems. He will be discussing why he believes a physical storefront in a digital world is necessary, and what the future holds for Open Space, a true melding of the online and physical retail worlds.

Your host for the evening will be Brian Baker of Small Planet West and TheFirstUser.com.
