"Let someone else be adventurous. It is important to play the masterpieces" (David Soyer)

PCMS welcomes one of the founding members of the Guarneri Quartet, cellist David Soyer, and pianist Cynthia Raim, for a concert of Beethoven, Barber and Brahms on Sunday, October 26 at 3PM.

Join us for a unique chance to hear Soyer play once again, as he is widely revered as a legendary cellist and mentor for an entire generation of young cellists at Curtis Institute. In addition to his years as part of the Guarneri Quartet, Soyer has performed with major orchestras around the world, and remains an active member in the chamber music world today as a guest artist with such ensembles as the Tokyo, Orion, Colorado, and Borromeo String Quartets. Raim, an important performer in her own right, joins PCMS "as a musician of intelligence and judgment" (New York Times), and has participated in many leading musical festivals over the years, including Marlboro, Ravinia, Mostly Mozart, and Santa Fe.
