As a photographer and co-founder of the journalistic photo-cooperative Magnum Photos Inc., David Seymour, known as Chim, documented world events, popular culture, and social and political developments. This exhibition, which contains more than 35 photographs from the Museum’s collection, takes a look at the life and work of Chim, spanning the rise of Hitler, the effects of World War II, the post-war reconstruction of Europe, the creation of Hollywood icons, and the formation of Israel.

- Friday September 28, 5:30-8:30pm: opening reception.
Gallery walkthroughs with curator Robert Johnson and me (6:15pm and 7:30pm)

- Saturday September 29, 1-2pm: slide presentation and talk by Ben Shneiderman on Chim's (his uncle) work with some family stories.
