A JEW GROWS IN BROOKLYN
Jake Ehrenreich’s Acclaimed Musical Memoir Makes its Canadian Premiere

David Mirvish presents the Canadian premiere of A Jew Grows in Brooklyn, “a rock n’ roll true story, Holocaust family, Borscht belt comedy musical” written by and starring Jake Ehrenreich, running April 28 – May 16 at the Panasonic Theatre in Toronto.

Jake Ehrenreich has appeared on Broadway in Dancin', Barnum, and They're Playing Our Song, and toured internationally as Ringo in Beatlemania.

This charismatic veteran moves audiences to roar with laughter, be deeply moved by his family's story of survival, and ultimately, to feel their spirits uplifted by the fulfillment of the cycle of life and Jake's unique insights.

From his family's survival of the Holocaust, to stickball in Brooklyn, to summers in the Catskills and both his mother and sister's heart-wrenching struggle with early-onset Alzheimer's, the incomparable Jake (and friends) take you on a unique, multi-media musical journey that the New York Times called "Dazzling."

After breaking box office records at the historic Lamb’s Theatre in the heart of the Broadway theatre district and running in New York for well over a year, A Jew Grows in Brooklyn has been touring to major cities across the United States, receiving critical and popular acclaim everywhere it plays.
