SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - December 14, 2010 - Artist David Fenton is holding his debut solo exhibition in San Francisco featuring work that comments on society's ills. EVEN IF IT'S WRONG...a series of mixed media on brushed aluminum will show at Space Gallery in San Francisco, January 4-8, 2011 with a reception for the artist, January 6, 7pm-midnight.
"Believe in something! Even if it's wrong...BELIEVE IN IT!" Powerful words. Disturbing words. These words came from a charismatic role model reaching millions of Americans on a daily basis. These are the words of Glenn Beck. And millions of people believe virtually every syllable that crosses his lips.
Fenton has become fascinated and on more than one occasion, vexed by society's blindness to the agenda of the biased media. He marvels at the overt connection of right wing media (specifically FOX) and its role on the political landscape; how evident it is that SO MANY Americans are unconscious to it. Through the works in EVEN IF IT'S WRONG, Fenton expresses what many informed people are already thinking. He hopes to inspire people to discuss ways on how to hold public figures accountable both in and out of government.

Also on display will be pieces from a more surreal collection. Here Fenton enjoys taking what some may consider "unsavory" creatures and then humanizing them.
