David B Jang: New Works, Closing Reception at DAC Gallery July 14, 2011

DAC Gallery is proud to announce the opening of "David B. Jang: New Works".

Artist David B. Jang will be returning to the DAC this summer to exhibit a collection of new works. This will be Jang's third time exhibiting at the gallery, this being his first solo exhibition.

David B. Jang's new works function as embodiments of the viewer, forging associations with the essential dynamics of the human body:
vibration, flow, breath, and contractions. Jang's usage of everyday materials such as styrofoam cups, potato chip bags, and paper towels endow his works with a common accessibility. He reconstitutes these materials into "machines" which, due to the familiarity of the materials they are created with, are that much more approachable to the viewer and thus take on an organic character.

We invite you to join us for the closing reception held in conjunction with the Downtown Art Walk, Thursday July 14, 2011, from 6-9pm.

Show runs until August 3rd, 2011.
