David and Tamela Mann, also known as Mr. Brown and Cora Simmons from the hit TV series and movie "Meet the Browns," will bring an evening of laughter and gospel music to The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center Saturday, Nov. 12!

The ingeniously funny and extraordinarily talented actor David Mann remarkably immortalized the role of Mr. Brown, the intrusively nosey and wisecracking neighbor. His performance led the way to Mr. Brown becoming a principal character in many of Tyler Perry’s stage and film comedies. Multi-talented singer and actress Tamela Mann continues in the role of Cora Simmons, which she originated in Perry’s 2004 play “Meet the Browns” and on the hit TBS comedy of the same name alongside her husband, David. Tamela, who has always considered herself a traditional gospel singer, released “The Master Plan” in 2009, which stayed at the top of the Gospel sales chart for almost a year.
