When the dissatisfaction of small-town bands began to set in, Dave Lionelli stepped up and matured into an artist in his own right. Dave's unique blend of classic folk lyricism, acoustic soul groove, and aggressive rock anger draws inspiration from artists ranging from Bob Dylan to Bob Marley to The Beatles.

Growing up in Connecticut in a house full of music, it was only natural for Dave to be inspired to write and play. Since his first acoustic guitar at the age of 9, he has surrounded himself with a wide range of instruments, forever pushing himself to learn as many aspects of music as he can. Relocating to San Francisco in 2000, Dave toured nationally with blues man Grady Champion, and has been seen around the bay with artists ranging from the dynamic soul of Shree Dove, to the rock steady-reggae of the Jethro Jeremiah Band, to the funk drumming innovation of Zigaboo Modeliste & The New Aahkesstra.

After 16 years playing and sharing the stage with luminaries the Skatalites, Elvis Costello, Crosby Stills & Nash, Steve Winwood, and Santana, his 2004 demo, "there's a first time for everything..." has been turning heads. Dave's music tells the stories of his travels, spreading a message of peace, love and good laughter.
