Dave Eggers: Zeitoun March 29, 2011

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, writer Dave Eggers unearthed the story of the Zeitoun family, Muslim-Americans struggling with the separation of their family when Abdulrahman Zeitoun stays in New Orleans to help the people of the city. Called simply, 'Zeitoun,' the book is a masterful piece of storytelling-journalism that describes both the compassion and generosity of one man and his community, and the great injustice he suffered after the storm.
