This never-before-heard collaboration revisits and reinterprets the music of one of America's greatest visionaries. Dave Douglas has collaborated widely across the spectrum of American music including work with John Zorn, Joe Lovano, Bill Frisell, Don Byron, Fred Hersch, Anthony Braxton, Myra Melford, Andy Bey, Tim Berne, Tom Waits, Rabih Abou-Khalil, DJ Olive, Chris Potter, Uri Caine, Mark Turner, Marc Ribot and many more. In 2003 Douglas founded the Festival of New Trumpet Music with Roy Campbell, Jr. Since 2005 he has released all of his recordings on his own internet-based Greenleaf Music label. Graham Haynes is an American cornetist and trumpeter. His father is legendary jazz drummer Roy Haynes. He was a founding member of Steve Coleman's M-Base collective and he has also played with David Murray, George Adams, Ed Blackwell, Cassandra Wilson, and Bill Laswell.
