Data Systems In Aerospace (DASIA 2010)

The yearly DASIA conference was formally held for the first time in 1996 but is in direct continuation of the ‘Ada in Aerospace’ Conference arranged yearly since 1990 and the ‘On-Board Data Management Symposium’ organised several times during the same period. The DASIA conference is organised by EUROSPACE, the association of European

space industry.

The focus of the conference is computer-based applications and technologies – hardware and software – for aerospace in air/space and on ground. Non-space industry and academia are strongly encouraged, however, to present their results from other applications with similar technological base and requirements for high reliability and complexity – such as transport and telecommunications.

The range of themes is from strategies, methods and tools to components, systems and applications. It covers technical as well as managerial aspects of specification, development, integration and maintenance. Themes related to applications of growth potential as well as to applications of complexity, safety and security are very welcome, e.g. communication, earth observation, remote sensing, guidance and navigation, autonomy, robotics and manned space.

CONFERENCE OPENING AND REGISTRATION

The Conference secretariat will open on Tuesday morning, 1st June 2010 for late registration and documentation handout and will remain in operation during the whole Conference. The Conference opening on Tuesday morning will be composed of keynote speeches and will be followed by paper presentations. A buffet reception is offered by EUROSPACE Tuesday evening.

PAPER PRESENTATION SESSIONS

Four days will be assigned to paper presentation sessions. The Conference will finish around 16:00 Friday 4th June 2010. Each presentation may last 30 minutes, including the time for discussion. The paper abstracts will be printed and made available at the Conference registration desk. Each session will include in average three presentations with an overall topic derived from the technology themes and application areas covered by the selected papers. There will be two parallel presentation lines with sessions arranged so as to avoid in the best possible manner overlapping sessions with related themes.

KEYNOTE PRESENTATIONS

Keynote presentations will be given at the Conference opening and possibly as introductions to Panel Workshops during the conference. Presentations for year 2010 are still under discussion.
