Arium, New York?s newest center for the arts, is excited to announce its inaugural concert series. A small, intimate venue, Arium features a rebuilt Steinway B piano for guest pianists.
Daria Rabotkina?s concert appearances include the Tchaikovsky and Moscow Conservatory's Small Halls in Russia, as well as Steinway, Weill Recital and Davies Symphony Hall in the U.S. She has also performed with the San Francisco Symphony, Kirov Orchestra, Moscow State Symphony, Sendai Philharmonic, Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, Kazan State Symphony, New World Symphony and others. Over the past two years she has collaborated as a soloist on several occasions with conductors Michael Tilson Thomas, Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Feltsman, Umeda Toshiyaki and Fabio Mechetti.

An artistic oasis in the Meatpacking District, Arium is an exhibition and performance space, café and tea room that opened late January. The classically designed, antique-filled space also hosts art exhibits by up-and-coming artists. The café and tea room serves light organic lunch fare and tea service that complements the 90 teas from around the world, as well as select wines from boutique wineries.
Concerts are scheduled for Saturday evenings at 8pm on April 1, 8, 22 and May 13. Arium is open earlier for those guests who want to eat prior to the concerts, but food service will stop during performances. Beverages will be available. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at http://www.pianoculture.com or at Arium, 31 Little West 12th Street (near Washington Street). For more information, call 212-463-8630.
