With the large scale success of his “ISolated INcident Global Thermo Comedy Tour,’” attended by close to a million people and named by Forbes Magazine to be one of the most successful tours in recent history, as well as the success of his Comedy Central special and comedy album of the same name, Dane Cook has announced plans for a new, up close and personal tour.

"After 80 arenas last year I wanted to go back to the small clubs and work on a brand new hour of stand up comedy,” he said recently. “Now I’m jumping back on the road to perform for comedy fans everywhere. I’ve got that new hour plus a few bad ass surprises. This follow up tour is about hitting a bevy of unique stages in my continuing quest to perform literally everywhere. Special surprise guests, brand new jokes & I’m off my diet so it’s all about to go down!"

Cook will release his 6th album in seven years, entitled DANE COOK * I DID MY BEST * GREATEST HITS which will feature his biggest bits along with never before released material, and will begin his newest tour, DANE COOK LIVE!, starting in late October.

Named a "comedian phenom and icon" by Entertainment Weekly, Dane Cook has maintained his reputation as one of today’s most prolific stand-up comedians while simultaneously distinguishing himself as a charismatic and versatile actor in a variety of film and television projects.

Cook has starred in several films in the past few years, My Best Friend’s Girl (opposite Kate Hudson and Alec Baldwin), Dan in Real Life (with Steve Carrell), Good Luck Chuck (with Jessica Alba), Mr. Brooks (with Academy Award winners Kevin Costner and William Hurt), and Employee of the Month... his first leading role that just recently was named as one of the top 20 highest grossing digitally downloaded films of the decade. Additionally, Cook has also appeared in a number of other feature films, including Waiting (with Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris), London (with Jessica Biel and Chris Evans), and Mystery Men (with Ben Stiller).

In the television world, Cook has hosted Saturday Night Live twice, including the season premiere, helping the program earn the highest non-sports ratings of any network that year. Additionally, Cook created, directed and starred in the network’s nine-part comedy documentary series, Tourgasm and wrote, executive produced and starred in Vicious Circle, a feature-length stand-up event, which was filmed in front of 40,000 people during 2 sold out shows at Boston Garden.

Combining energetic comedy, clever wordplay, and trenchant observations about human behavior, Cook’s unique brand of stand-up and accessible guy-next-door attitude have galvanized audiences of all ages on the national scene for over a decade. He catapulted to media headlines when his sophomore comedy CDx2/DVD, Retaliation, bucked industry trends by debuting at #4 on the Billboard 200. The album, which has hit double platinum, marked him as the highest charting comedian in 27 years, earning him a place alongside best-selling comedy vets Bill Cosby, George Carlin and Steve Martin. Additionally, his debut CD/DVD release, Harmful If Swallowed, as well as Rough Around the Edges, filmed in front of 40,000 fans during 2 shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City, have appeared on eight different Billboard charts. Last year, his last album, ISolated INcident, was the highest rated special on Comedy Central, and became his second album to debut at number #4 on the Billboard charts, making him the only comedian in history to achieve that feat.

In November of last year, Cook also broke ground in the music industry with the release of his first rock single, “I’ll Never Be You,” and “Simon Said,” which he performed on this year’s finale of American Idol.

Among his many honors as a stand-up comedian, he was named Rolling Stone Magazine’s "Hot Comic," Stuff Magazine’s "Coolest Comic of the Year," and was the winner of Comedy Central’s Stand-up Showdown more times than any other comedian. Additionally, his arrival on the cultural stage was confirmed when Time Magazine listed him as one of the world’s "100 Most Influential People."
