Dance Performance: Shatrang va Takhta-i Nard June 25, 2011

This narrative dance performance, choreographed by Khosrow Jamali, will explore the origins of chess and backgammon as told in the Iranian national epic the Shahnama and featured in the exhibition, Gifts of the Sultan: The Arts of Giving at the Islamic Courts.
