Dance for Life: South African Gumboot Dance August 28, 2009

Put on your dance shoes and head to Millennium Park where Chicago’s premier dance teachers will provide FREE performances and dance lessons to toe-tapping guests. Come splash around in the Crown Fountain to the South African Gumboot Dance choreographed by Kimosha P. Murphy and danced by the Joffrey Ballet’s Strobel Step Up youth program. This special event will raise awareness for the highly anticipated Dance for Life, the largest performance-based AIDS fundraising event in the Midwest, held on August 29.
