Dance For Life: Instructional Dance Classes August 27, 2009

Put on your dance shoes and head to Millennium Park where Chicago’s premier dance teachers will provide FREE performances and dance lessons to toe-tapping guests. Move your hips to a Latin groove and do the sideways shuffle like Bob Fosse. Dance classes will be offered in a variety of styles, including Latin, jazz, African and hip hop. Professionals who have performed with top dance companies including River North Chicago Dance Company, Joffrey Ballet, Joel Hall Dancers and Same Planet Different World will offer insider insight on how to dance like a star.

This special event will raise awareness for the highly anticipated Dance for Life, the largest performance-based AIDS fundraising event in the Midwest, held on August 29.

African Moves – Experience the richness of African movement.  1 - 1:30 pm
Hip Hop Class – Lock, pop and break in this thrilling class. 1:45 - 2:15 pm
Jazz Beats– An upbeat class full of Jazz style movements. 2:30 - 3 pm
Dance Latin Groove – A high energy class to Latin beats and rhythms. 3:15 - 3:45 pm
