Six of Chicago?s premiere dance companies will perform on one stage as part of this year?s Dance for Life performance, an event to raise awareness and funds for HIV/AIDS programs while promoting the art of dance. Now in its 14th year, Dance for Life is the largest performance-based AIDS fundraising event in the Midwest and Chicago?s premiere dance benefit, having raised more than $2 million for HIV/AIDS prevention and care programs. Proceeds from the performance will benefit the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, Test Positive Aware Network, BEHIV, South Side Help Center and the Dance for Life Fund.

Dance companies include: Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, The Joffrey Ballet, O?Hare Irish Dancers, River North Dance Chicago and Thodos Dance Chicago.

In addition, the Raffle Presentation will be choreographed by Chicago favorite, Harrison McEldowney and the Grand Finale will be choreographed by Randy Duncan.

Legendary New York choreographer, Lar Lubovitch, will lend his talents to Dance for Life by presenting Concerto Six Twenty-Two. Lubovitch, born in Chicago, is known throughout the dance world for his distinct and eloquent modern dance technique, as well as his role in raising funds to fight HIV/AIDS.
