Summer is just around the corner, and librarians across the city are restless, ready to peel off their cardigans and seek cold drinks and camaraderie. Have no fear! The Desk Set, a New York-based circle of librarians and bibliophiles who socialize, explore the world of libraries and literacy, and support good causes, is coming to the rescue! Everyone's invited to dance their bookish socks off with DJ Jonathan Toubin of New York Night Train's 60s soul, garage, boogaloo, psych, international pop, etc! Party guests can bring one new or gently used paperback dictionary or thesaurus to donate to Books Through Bars in exchange for one free drink. In addition, money raised through the Desk Set’s Bibliophile’s Raffle will be donated to Books Through Bars!

Remember—You don't have to BE a librarian, you just have to want to dance with one!
