Critics have called New York City-based pianist/composer Dan Tepfer "brilliant" (the Boston Globe), "one of tomorrow's jazz stars" (Eugene Weekly). He is the winner of the first prize and the audience prize of the 2006 Montreux Jazz Festival Bosendorfer Solo Piano Competition.
