Holidaze in Hicksville Musical Extravaganza!

This one of a kind musical evening with Dan Hicks and Hot Licks features an entertaining and one of a kind view of the holiday season told through group's original songs and dance, as well as Dan's signature eclecticism and humor. Songs will include such "Hicks-ian" gems as - -"Somebody Stole My Santa Claus Suit", "Rudolph the Bald-Headed Reindeer", and "Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Christmas Card." There will also be plenty of other slightly off-kilter (but never off-key) material from a singer-songwriter who's a true American original, including songs from his upcoming '09 release, "Twisted Tales."

Beginning with seminal 60’s San Francisco rock band The Charlatans, and continuing with the unique and legendary Hicks is widely acknowledged as one of the central defining figures in American roots music. Hicks has earned a reputation as a true original with his signature electicism and humor. He continues to carve his own way through a number of genres from proto-psychedelia to western swing and jazz; from tin pan alley to country blues, while always cultivating his own unique sound.
